Rules And Responsibilities
Our guild follows a simple set of standards we expect from every member. These rules and responsibilities help maintain our positive image within the ESO community and protect the vision set for this guild.
- Be Mature- Although we promote competition, members should maintain mutual respect for each other. Also, as a member of The Vigil you represent it when you play with others. Trolling, baiting, trash talking, or flaming are not permitted in game or in any public forum. Applicants are required to be 16 years or older in order to be eligible for membership.
- Follow Chain of Command- Within this guild we have a chain of command. All members are to respect and follow this chain of command. This means listening to orders from superiors, especially officers. We are always open to every member's thoughts and ideas but there is a time and place for thos discussions. Whining, arguing, causing a scene, or just being disrespectful during scheduled events will not be tolerated.
- Be Active- We expect all members of The Vigil to be active within the game and guild events. Go the extra mile to optimize your character and flesh them out. Be prepared for guild events and make sure you uphold the guild's reputation while spreading it's name around. Make sure to stay in touch with other members through our chat and forum discussions.
- Be Respectful- The Vigil strives to maintain a positive image among the ESO community. Members should respect not only other guild members but also other players as well. Members should respect those who are trying to roleplay and immerse themselvesin the world. The killing of other players or any allied with the Daggefall Covenant faction or an allied guild unless in the case that it was self-defense will not be tolerated. This rule also applies to innocent NPC's as it would conflict with the guild's own lore and roleplay experience.
- Have fun- Our guild is serious but we also like to have fun. Remember to enjoy the game and have fun playing with other members.
Raid Policy
The Vigil will schedule 3 guild raids a week. These raids will be strategically planned out before started. Members are expected to participate an average of 2 raids per week. Members who do not maintain this average will receive a warning, after that if the member continues to not maintain this average they will be asked to leave the guild. If members have issues with conflicting schedules they can contact guild officers and ask to be excused. We understand that members have lives outside of this guild and we have no problem if an active member who contributes often cannot make every raid due to their schedule. However, if you cannot make raids we ask that you go the extra mile to show that you still want to be a member of this guild and that you try make up for it by being more active and contribute in other ways.
Application Process
The Vigil Has high expectations from it's members, therefore, our recruiting process is rather tedious. Applications will be carefully reviewed by the guild's officers and then be chosen if they meet our standards. Once an applicant is chosen they will be interviewed so that we can get to know them. If an applicant is interviewed and still qualifies for membership they will be made a Recruit. Recruits undergo a two week trial period where they will once again be evaluated based on their interaction with guild members, performance, and participation within the community. If a Recruit passes this trial period then they will be made a full member. Applicants must be 16 or older to be eligible for application.
Officer Rank Application Process
In order to become a Sergeant or Lieutenant within The Vigil a member must apply for this position. Officers should be active, skilled, good at communicating, contribute to the guild, and be able to act like leaders. These positions are not given out freely and are only open to applicants when we are looking for members to fill these positions. Below the two officer ranks that a member may apply for are listed as well with a description about the rank and on how one may qualify for application and how each process works.
